Hey there, Rebecca!
Thanks for coming to see us at planDisney! If it's Walt Disney World Resort itinerary planning you're after, you've come to the perfect place. Each of us here at planDisney loves to share our favorite itinerary tips and suggestions from our own Disney vacations as a way to help you plan your own magical stay.
Once upon a time you could order a Disney Vacation Planning DVD to watch and preview all the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort stay. While these DVDs are no longer mailed out, there are some great planning resources available online that I'll share with you.
I always like to recommend the theme park guide maps for a start to planning your play time in the theme parks. These are the same guide maps that you would pick up when you enter a theme park. They're easy to view online, and you could even download them and print them. Here are the links to the guide maps:
Magic Kingdom Guide Map,
EPCOT Guide Map,
Disney's Hollywood Studios Guide Map, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Guide Map. The guide map for
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is available as an online map. Also available as an online map is a map of the entire
Walt Disney World Resort.
Another great planning resource is the
Tickets & Visit Guide that offers an overview of the theme parks, recommendations for Guests with different interests, suggestions for how many days you may want for visiting the theme parks, and seasonal highlights. For example, if you're visiting in November, you will definitely want to check out the
Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Ready to check out some videos to help you plan? Take a tour through the
planDisney Video Library where my fellow planDisney Panelists offer their first-hand suggestions to help you get the most of your magical vacation.
One of my favorite itinerary planning resources is the
My Disney Experience mobile app. The app provides maps and directions for the Walt Disney World Resort as well as other super helpful features like mobile food ordering, attraction wait times, virtual queues, dining reservations, and help with shopping.
I also highly recommend following the
Disney Parks blog and
following the planDisney Panelists on social media. Rebecca, please come back and ask us for more suggestions and tips as you start to plan your itinerary. We're here for you and happy to help!
