Hoping to do Characters in Flight balloon during my December trip. Am thinking of doing it at night after a day in at AK, but curious if it's a "lesser" experience because of limited view at night. Any thoughts? Is a daytime flight better? Thank

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I have done the Characters in Flight tethered helium balloon experience at night, in fact in December just as you are planning.  I have to tell you, I thought it was spectacular.  Seeing Walt Disney World from 400 feet in the air when everything was lit up for the night was amazing.  We also happened to time our flight so that we were on Characters in Flight when a nighttime fireworks show was happening.  It was truly special to see a fireworks show from this vantage point!

I absolutely recommend Characters in Flight at night.  It was very unique, and I had a great time.  I hope that these thoughts are helpful to you, Lisa.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, and have a great time planning your vacation.
