Hi Lynda!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I'm so happy to hear you're planning to attend the
Candlelight Processional at Epcot during your December Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Featured as part of Epcot's Holidays Around the World, the Candlelight Processional shares the biblical story of Christmas through word and song. Celebrity narrators tell the story of Christ's birth, joined by a mass choir and a 50-piece orchestra to provide the music. My family considers this event a "must-do" when we visit during the holidays. It's a beautiful show, and I always leave full of Christmas spirit!
Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members do their best to make sure all Guests are able to enjoy their Disney vacation experience, and they
provide a variety of services to those who are hearing impaired. Services provided include:
Guest Room Amenities
Assistive Listening
Handheld Captioning
Video Captioning
Sign Language Interpretation
I spoke with a Cast Member today to see if accommodations were provided at the Candlelight Processional other than the American Sign Language interpreter. Unfortunately, captioning is not available for this event. I tried to see if I could find a written script online, but was unable to find one from a recent presentation. I encourage you to reach out to the team at Disney Special Services at (407) 827-5600 to see if there are any other options available for your daughter to fully enjoy the show.
Please let us know if you have further questions before your Walt Disney World vacation! Have a magical day - Diane W.
