Hi Paul!
The Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot is a great character dining experience and is so unique because the entire restaurant rotates! We celebrated my son's first birthday with Mickey and friends at The Garden Grill Restaurant many years ago, so it holds a special place in my Disney memories.
When
making Walt Disney World dining reservations, every guest in your party must be included in your total count, infants included, even if they won't be taking up a seat or eating a meal. This rule is to adhere to the maximum occupancy and the fire code of the individual restaurants. If I am unable to find a reservation for my entire party, I will try to find 2 smaller reservations that make up the total number of guests that I need. If you go this route, you will let the host/hostess know when you arrive that you are one party under two reservations. The risk here is that it is possible to be seated at separate tables.
Another suggestion is to keep checking for reservations for 7 guests. Reservation openings change frequently, especially in the week leading up to your desired date since guests are finalizing plans. Table-Service restaurants have a one day cancellation policy, so you'll often find openings the day before your desired date as well.
I'll be crossing my fingers for you and hoping that pixie dust finds its way to get you that reservation that you're looking for.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
