Lucy from Darlington Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are hoping to book WDW next year. We have been reading about the free dining plan offer. We want the plan that includes 1 table meal a day. Is this plan viable when you stay at ANY Disney resort hotel or only deluxe? Thank you :)

Welcome to planDisney, Lucy! I'm excited to have you be our guest and pull up a chair as I proudly present your answer about one of my favorite topics - Disney dining plans

The Disney Dining Plan is my favorite too, Lucy, because I love the option of having a table-service meal included each day for my family to have a moment to unwind, relax, and reconnect after a long day of running through the theme parks! We have our favorite can't-miss dining experiences like 'Ohana and brunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe (trust me, the chicken and waffles is life-changing!) that have become traditions for our Disney vacations! Memories are definitely made around meals for us! In fact, we are heading to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few months to take advantage of a free dining offer and are finalizing our restaurant selections now!

Typically, when offers for free dining become available, guests who book a vacation package at a Disney Resort hotel that is a value or moderate-level hotel will have the Disney Quick-Service dining plan included for free, while guests who book at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort will have the Disney Dining Plan included. The good news, however, is that these offers usually include an option to upgrade the Quick-Service Dining Plan to the Disney Dining Plan for an additional fee. I have done this in the past and been able to get the table service meals that my family enjoys while staying within our vacation budget, so it was the best of both worlds! Of course, every offer is different, and you would need to read the specific terms and conditions of the offer when it is released to be sure this is an option!

I hope this has been helpful, Lucy, and I hope you will be able to book your magical vacation and secure your free dining offer soon! Don't forget to take advantage of making your Advance Dining Reservations up to 60 days in advance of your check-in so you will be sure to have a table at the restaurants your family would most like to experience! If you need any recommendations for dining venues, character meals, snacks, or anything else, come back any time and let us know! There's always room at the planDisney table for you!

    Bon Appetit,
    Alison
