Hoping to book PASSports preferred room 12/23/20-1/2/21. If free dining is offered, do I pay difference in room prices from when booked to current pricing? Or just add FD? Are standard rooms historically included? Hoping FD convinces my hubby to say yes

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole!

The food is probably my favorite part of a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disney Dining Plan really makes it easy for me to try everything I want when I'm on vacation. A promotion was recently announced where the Dining Plan is being offered for free as a part of a qualifying vacation package, so let's chat about what you might be able to expect on your vacation next year, and how to add a special offer, deal or discount to your booking.

Traditionally, there has been a yearly Free Dine promotion offered to guests who book a vacation package with qualifying arrival dates. This year, the offer was announced in the summer and it includes dates in September, November, and December, so it's possible, but definitely not guaranteed, that it may be available around the same time next year when you're planning your trip. The promotion has been made available at Value Resorts before, including this year, but the types of room included do vary. If you want to book your vacation now, you can do that and still add the Free Dine promotion if it becomes available during your stay. A few years ago, I had a trip booked before the offer was announced and was able to take advantage of it by calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to add it to my vacation package. It did involve switching Resort Hotels to get a qualifying room, so make sure to keep an open mind about where you stay! When you call, a Cast Member will walk you through what's available and let you know your new balance so you can decide if the Dining Plan is right for you. Free Dining is usually not the only promotion offered though, so remember to check the special offers, deals, and discounts page frequently to see what else is available.

    Have a magical day, Nicole!
