I am hoping to book Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness in Oct. and would love to see the campsites decorated for Halloween. What is the best way to go about this? Would the Headless Horseman Carriage ride be able to accommodate a grp of 8-11?

    Hi Byron!

I love Mickey's Backyard BBQ!  The kids AND adults have such a good time!

My favorite part about Fort Wilderness is seeing all of the campsites decorated for each holiday.  The best way to see the decorations is by golf cart, but if you aren't staying at the resort and don't have one, walk it!  That way you can take your time viewing all of the details the guests have put into their campsites.  You can start with the loops that are closest to the marina, which is where Mickey's Backyard BBQ is.  You can also hop on a bus and ride it from loop to loop while getting off each time to walk through the campsites.  The decorations are an attraction all on their own!

The Haunted Carriage ride will not fit a group of your size, so you will have to split up and go separately.  They will fit 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids.  It is probably too early to reserve your spot, but you can call (407) 939-7529 for more information.

    Have a hauntingly magical day!
