We are hoping to book Chef Mickey's with our 3 year old son. My question is how do we get to the Contemporary Resort? Do we just walk into the lobby and check in? This whole experience is new to me so any info you can provide would be helpful :)

    Hi Natalie!

Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World so definitely make a reservation as soon as possible.  Reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

It is very easy to get to Chef Mickey's.  If you are driving your own car, just approach the Contemporary and park in the Contemporary's parking lot; tell the Disney Cast Member at the security gate into the parking lot that you are going to Chef Mickey's.  He or she may ask you for your confirmation number.

Otherwise, you can take a monorail from the Magic Kingdom.  If you are at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, first go to the Magic Kingdom and then walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary.  Don't worry, you won't actually enter the Magic Kingdom if you are concerned about park tickets.  You can also get a bus to the Contemporary from Downtown Disney.

Once you arrive at the Contemporary, just go straight up to the second floor where Chef Mickey's is located.  You don't need to stop in the lobby or anything.  There's a check-in booth for Chef Mickey's.  I usually recommend arriving about 15 minutes before your reservation time.

I hope this helps!  Chef Mickey's is a wonderful experience.  Write back if you have any more questions!
