Hi Itzel,
Welcome to planDisney!
First, let us celebrate your mom for being in the running for Mom of the Year! How spectacular of her to buy your tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort. I am going to do my best here, so please reach out to us again if you have additional questions!
If your mom has an existing
My Disney Experience account with you already linked through her
My Family & Friends List and you purchased those tickets online through the Walt Disney World Resort Website, you should have been able to select yourself from her Family & Friends List as the ticket recipient as long you all were logged into her account when ordering. The tickets would be emailed or mailed depending on the option you selected.
Another possibility is that you ordered the tickets online and checked the box to indicate that the tickets were a gift. If you selected "This order will be a gift" when checking out online, you could have selected the option to have the tickets mailed and the tickets should arrive by mail.
If you selected "Will Call" as the delivery method for your tickets, you will need to follow these
instructions to pick up your tickets. The Cast Members with whom I spoke advised that you cannot call to change the "Will Call" delivery method. You can, however, use the confirmation number to link the tickets in My Disney Experience.
Last, if you all purchased the tickets over the phone, you should have received a confirmation number.
No matter how you purchased the tickets, you should be able to use the confirmation number to link the tickets through My Disney Experience. Then, if you get the Admission Cards in the mail OR order MagicBands, you can use those
Admission Cards or MagicBands to enter the park. With MagicBands, be sure to
link them in My Disney Experience when they arrive.
Once your tickets are correctly linked in My Disney Experience, you can make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Definitely make those park pass reservations; especially given the time of year you are traveling since parks could reach capacity. We visited at about the same time last year. It was AMAZING and wonderfully busy!
There are a few other points to note. If your mom is a Florida Resident and you purchased Florida Resident tickets, you would have to
verify that Florida residency. And, if you purchased the tickets through a third-party vendor or a travel agent, you would need to contact that vendor or travel agent to determine how to get your tickets.
Itzel, I hope this helps. If you need to speak with a Cast Member, feel free to call 407-939-5277. Also remember to check the
operational updates as policies and procedures could change. The most important piece of information to remember is that if you can get those tickets linked in My Disney Experience and you have an Admission Card or MagicBand to scan when you enter the parks, you should be good to go!
We are so excited to welcome you back to a world of magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
