Hi Sandy! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. One of the best parts is planning all the fun experiences you'll have. Deciding where to eat, what parks to visit, and what shows you want to see are all aspects of the planning process that begins months before you arrive. I always have a ton of fun putting together the itinerary for our next stay.
One tip I always give is to make an Advanced Dining Reservation at a dining location inside of a park before it technically opens. It allows you the opportunity to walk through the park relatively empty before other Guests are allowed to enter. There is something special about the early morning hours at a quiet park that is memorable.
If you have an Advanced Dining Reservation at
The Crystal Palace before the park is officially open, you will be allowed to enter before opening time. This gives you the chance to make it back to the restaurant for your reservation. When you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, once you pass through security and come to the entry point, look for signage dedicated to Guests with early dining reservations. If you are having any trouble, you can always ask a Cast Member for assistance. You should be able to enter about 30 minutes before your reservation time.
Note: The
Magic Kingdom does allow Guests to enter the park before the official opening time and
Early Theme Park Entry begins. Guests can explore Main Street, U.S.A., and areas in front of Cinderella Castle. With your reservation being early, there is a high likelihood that you'll need to enter the park at the dedicated areas for Guests with Advanced Dining Reservations.
The Crystal Palace has one of my all-time favorite food items for breakfast. They found a way to combine churros and Mickey waffles together for a sweet treat to begin the day. The best part is, it's a buffet-style meal, so you can go up as many times to grab more.
Sandy, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming stay!
See ya real soon!
