Hello! Hope you're doing well. Will be in Hollywood studios this May 4th and just realized its star wars day. Do you think crowds will be crazy? Already have a fantasmic dining package, hesitant to change it but worry it may be worth it. Thank you!

Hello there Arabella!  Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney!

May the Fourth is a very special day for Star Wars fans, and I'm sure will bring more crowds into Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios!  In my recent experience, Disney's Hollywood Studios is usually busy every day of the week, regardless if it's a special occasion or not.  I have found that if we have a plan of how we want to prioritize our time throughout the day, we can have a fantastic day regardless of how high the crowd levels may be!

My first recommendation is to get to the parks early, I always try to arrive an hour before they are scheduled to open.  If we're visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, we are usually heading straight back to Toy Story Land to ride our favorite attraction, Slinky Dog Dash!  Even if the parks are busy on a certain day, we always find we can get more accomplished first thing in the morning.

My next tip is to consider purchasing Disney Genie+ Service where you'll receive access to Lightning Lane entrances and shorter wait times.  It was so nice during our last trip to be able to ride attractions such as Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with a much shorter wait time than the standby line!

Another option for busier park days is to take the time to meet some of your favorite Disney characters such as Olaf from Frozen, or even catch one of the great shows such as my personal favorite, Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular!  It's nice to take a break from the crowds and rest your feet for a bit.  I recommend checking the My Disney Experience app for the most updated show times and information.

I hope this information helps with your trip planning Arabella, and that you have a fantastic visit in a few weeks!  If we can help with any other park strategies or tips, please come back to planDisney and ask.

May the Fourth be with you!
