Hello! I hope you are well!!! how is disney able to determine who is 18+ for the southern california resident offer. One of the members in my group is 16 (and does not have an ID) But could easily pass for an 18 year old. Is it just based on honesty?

Hey there, Addison! Welcome back to planDisney. We love answering all the planning questions!

I love to hear that you are visiting soon and were able to take advantage of the Southern California Resident Weekday Ticket Offer. It really is a great deal to be able to make a few visits to the parks if you can make weekdays work. Eligible Guests will need to present a valid government-issued ID that includes a southern California zip code of 90000 - 93599. This means all adults in your party will need to show proof with their valid IDs at the gate when scanning their tickets, however, minors are not required to show proof. This means the minor in your party is okay to not have an ID. They would just let the Cast Member know they are 16. Easy peasy!

Once you head to the parks, don't forget to check out Mickey's Toontown! The reopening happened last week and it is so fun. I headed there on opening day sans kids and could have spent hours there with a cold brew and snack just enjoying the sights and sounds on one of the cute new picnic blankets they offer.

Addison, thanks again for visiting us! Here's to hoping your visits are full of magic!
