We hope to visit WDW the end of December 2012. My husband, I, and our 2 daughters aged, 17 and 21. This will be our first trip to WDW. What resort/restaurants would you recommend for older visitors and what highlights would you recommend that we see?

    Hi Susan!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

The end of December is a very crowded time at Walt Disney World.  You will want to make Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) as soon as possible if you want to experience any of the Table Service (full service) restaurants at Walt Disney World.  ADRs can be made 180 days in advance and some actually fill up at that time; ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  Popular restaurants with adults include:
    • Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge
    • Citricos in the Grand Floridian
    • Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk
    • Paradiso 37 in Downtown Disney
    • Raglan Road in Downtown Disney
    • Most of the Table Service restaurants in World Showcase in Epcot
    • Tusker House for dinner in Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Yak and Yeti in Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • Sanaa in the Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • Yachtsman Steakhouse in the Yacht Club

You should definitely plan on visiting all four theme parks if you can; all four theme parks have something for guests of all ages.  If you can only visit two, then definitely visit the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  Epcot is a favorite park of many adults.  The Magic Kingdom is the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort and should definitely not be missed.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this gets you started.  Please write back about the hotels.  You can send a question directly to me or any other panelist!
