We hope to vacation late August but not actually staying in the resort. We buy our disney tickets in the uk for the 2 week passes before we arrive. My son will be 2 when we leave but become 3 during 2nd week of our trip. Do we have to buy a child ticket?

    Hello Beth,

A Walt Disney World trip for two weeks and a birthday celebration for your young prince during that trip; it sounds like Tinkerbell has already been spreading her pixie-dust!  Since your son will be 2 at the start of the trip or at check-in,  you don't need to worry about purchasing a ticket for him mid-trip.

If you'd like some ideas for birthday celebrations for your son, we have a collection of birthday celebration questions and answers from other guests. You can even order a birthday cake for your son if you'd like. Generic birthday cakes are available at any table service restaurant, but special order cakes can also be made by calling (407) 827-2253.

And just a little extra information since you are traveling with a toddler, you might like looking over page for Planning with a Pre-School Kids & Little Ones.

Wishing you a wonderful trip and an extra special birthday for your son! Please let us know if we can help again.
