Hi Lorna!
What fun to have a vacation on the calendar to look forward to! I'm happy to help with your question.
Walt Disney World Resort does an amazing job of accommodating guests that have special circumstances that might hinder them from fully enjoying a day at the theme parks. They are happy to work with guests and provide solutions that fit their needs.
Walt Disney World Resort's
Disability Access Service (DAS) provides help for Guests who have a condition that prevents them from waiting in a conventional queue line. Guests are able to schedule a return time for attractions that's comparable to the current wait time in the queue. It serves as a "virtual" wait time. Guests are able to go and enjoy other aspects of the park, like Character Meet & Greets, eating a meal, or visiting other attractions until their assigned return time. Return times are valid until park closing. Guests can use this service in addition to
FastPass+ service.
The Guest Relations staff is happy to work individually with Guests who require assistance. All you'll need to do is visit a Guest Relations location at any of Walt Disney World's four theme parks. Guest Relations is unable to provide accommodations in advance of a Guest visit, so you'll need to speak to them in person at the parks.
I hope this helps answer your question and ease your mind about your upcoming vacation! Have a magical day, Lorna! - Diane W.
