Hello Tracy, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Ouch, I am so sorry to hear about your foot. I am sending you some healing Pixie Dust while you are making your way to the Walt Disney World Resort. Unfortunately, Disney Resort Hotels do not have wheelchairs available to rent during your length of stay that can get you from your room to the bus stop and from the bus stop to wheelchair rental in the parks and vice versa. I have had a similar situation happen to me, during a recent visit, by aggravating an old injury when I arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I would recommend that you
rent an ECV from a Disney Featured Provider. They will deliver an ECV to your resort that you can use during your entire length of stay. They will also pick it up at the end of your trip. I have used most of them on the list and the scooters can travel on all Disney Transportation. Bus, Monorail, most boats, and even Minnie Vans can accommodate an ECV. If you contact them now, they can try to get your ECV delivered in the morning, possibly in time for your first full day in the parks.
While in the parks, you may have to transfer from your ECV to the ride or attraction vehicle. See a Cast Member for assistance. In other instances, ECVs will have a special area for viewing shows like Rivers of Light or Fantasmic! I hope this information helps and I wish you a speedy recovery.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
