Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Rebecca. Thanks for dropping by with your question.
Rebecca, you are going to love staying in the
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. My family and I stay in a cabin there the week of Christmas each year and it is just perfect. It's so spacious, perfect for a multip-generational stay and the kitchen is really convenient, especially around the holidays.
Rebecca, there isn't a way to add on your son's girlfriend for only part of your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation. It's kind of an all-or-nothing system. However, because the cabins are intended for several people, there isn't any additional charge for more adults on the reservation like at most of the other hotels. There isn't really any penalty to adding her to the room reservation even if she can't be there the whole time. The cabins are designed to sleep up to 6 people and there isn't an extra charge for any way you'd like to arrange that. So, in my opinion, if you have enough room on the reservation to add her for the whole time, that's the way to do it.
While you are staying at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, have you thought about
renting a golf cart? There are so many fun things to do at The Fort, as it is lovingly referred to, but it is a pretty spread-out campus. Having a golf cart certainly makes it easier and honestly much more fun to get around. You can rent a golf cart directly from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. You can make your golf cart reservations a year in advance and you are well within that timeframe. If this is something that interests you, I do suggest doing it sooner rather than later because they are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you have other questions about staying at The Fort, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help!
Enjoy.
