I hope this question is a easy one, I am a frequent Disney visitor and I feel I have a pretty good understanding of all things Disney but I need help with all the acronyms. I would love someone to breakdown all the abbreviations, such as DCL, DVC etc.

After a while those acronyms become a second language!

    DCL - Disney Cruise Line
    DVC - Disney Vacation Club

Here's a great list by Disney Dad Bret.

In addition, most of the WDW hotels have acronyms. Here are a few examples:

    BC - Beach Club
    AKL Animal Kingdom Lodge
    PC - Pop Century
POFQ - Port Orleans French Quarter

If you google, "wdw acronym" or "disney acronym", you'll find some helpful websites including the ones mentioned by Bret in the link above. For example, wdwmagic.com has a list of acronyms beginning with AA for the American Adventure and ending with YC for Yacht Club.

Disney Mom Erin also helps decipher some of this WDW language.

Before long, you'll be asking to book an ADR at the WL's WCC. Decoded that would be an Advance Dining Reservation at the Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Canyon Cafe.
