Hi Allison, and welcome back to planDisney! It’s been a while since your last question, so we’re glad you’re here again. I’m happy to help you with your next magical adventure to Walt Disney World Resort!
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is truly an incredible experience! I took this tour recently with my college-aged son, and we both had a wonderful time and learned so much. Your tour guide will share not only some special Disney history, but also behind-the-scenes secrets about how the magic comes to life. In general, they ask that phones not be used during the tour because photos and recording are prohibited. However, in experience, I was able to keep my phone with me and simply refrained from using it except during designated breaks. I would recommend speaking with the Cast Member at check-in and letting them know that someone in your party will need to periodically check their phone for medical reasons. Backstage areas are typically where your tour guide will remind everyone not to use their phones, but sharing your situation in advance will give them the heads up that any use is for a specific medical need rather than for photos or recording.
While you’re at Magic Kingdom, be sure to stay into the evening, so you can see the
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away nighttime parade. It opened last summer and is one of my favorite new additions at Walt Disney World in recent years! The floats are absolutely beautiful and feature so many beloved Disney characters. It’s a must-see and the perfect way to end a magical day!
Allison, I hope this helps as you plan for your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any more questions,
stop back by and see me. I’m always here to help and love adding extra pixie dust to your Disney vacation planning!
Your pal,
Casey
