Hi Scooter and welcome to planDisney!
The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! I love seeing all of the beautiful decorations around the theme parks,
Disney Resort hotels and
Disney Springs. Nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than walking down Main Street U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom Park while looking at all of the gorgeous holiday wreaths that line the street. I can sympathize with you about working vacations around sports schedules. My daughter is in competitive cheer and it seems to take up our whole life for half of the year.
I like that you're on top of making your
Disney dining reservations at the 60 day window! It's good to have a plan, especially if you are hoping to dine at specific restaurants. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can make dining reservations for up to 10 days of their visit at that 60 day mark. Technically, your dining reservations are not tied to your Disney Resort hotel reservations, so if you modify your hotel plans, your dining plans won't be affected. As a side note, if you have dining reservations inside of a theme park, you must have
park admission tickets as well as
theme park reservations to dine.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
