For Hoop Dee Review, I want category 1 seating. To secure the date I want, all that was available was category 3. Is there a way to upgrade, if available, to cat. 1

    Hiya David,

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so excited you secured a reservation to dine at the incredible Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. I finally had the opportunity to eat there when it reopened last year, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The food was fantastic, and the “kids at heart” in my group had a knee-slappin’ good time.

The great thing about Pioneer Hall is that no matter your seat, you will feel like you have the best seat in the house. The Pioneer Hall Players do an excellent job of ensuring everyone is a part of the experience, even those on the balcony. During our visit, we were seated near the back of Pioneer Hall in Category 2 and still felt like it was a perfect experience. That said, I understand preferring to be seated in Category 1! I contacted a few different Cast Members in Disney Dining to confirm that I gave you the most accurate information. Unfortunately, once confirmed, reservations for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue cannot be modified, which means you would be unable to upgrade to a Category 1 reservation. What you could do, however, is keep checking the reservation site to see if any reservations in Category 1 seating open up for your dates and then secure those should they become available (it happens more than you think). As long as you cancel within the cancellation window, you will not incur a fee for getting rid of your current reservations.

I wish I had happier news, David, but I hope this was helpful. We really appreciate you visiting us for helping planning your vacation. Before I let you go, allow me to give a little reminder about transportation to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Getting to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is an adventure in itself, so I always recommend giving yourself sufficient time to make it to your reservation (you should arrive at least 30 minutes before your designated time). My favorite way to get to Pioneer Hall is the Minnie Van Service. Unlike traveling via traditional rideshare, the Minnie Van Service will help you bypass the internal bus system and drop you and your family off at Pioneer Hall. This will save you at least 15-20 minutes! It is well worth the additional cost, in my opinion.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
