Hi Michael!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My parents joined my family at Walt Disney World Resort in March where I shared with them one of my favorite classic Disney World dining experiences:
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! My almost three-year-old is in that phase of not-eating where he'll basically lick
only chicken nuggets and declare himself full, so I too was worried about what he was going to eat (err, not eat) for dinner that night. But luckily for all of us there is more to the menu than meets the eye.
Hoop-Dee-Doo takes place in Pioneer Hall, which is in the back part of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort known as The Settlement. Pioneer Hall shares a building and kitchen with two other dining locations,
P&J's Southern Takeout as well as
Trail's End Restaurant, so there are plenty of options for all kinds of special diets. The alternatives for children are chicken nuggets, a hot dog, macaroni and cheese, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There's also a plain pasta on the vegetarian menu that is topped with either plain red sauce, olive oil or melted butter that I'm sure would be no problem. But do take a look at the menus of both P&J's and Trail's End and make note if they serve something else that your daughter would eat. It never hurts to ask!
Pro Tip: The meal is served in courses between breaks in the show so everyone can eat without missing a beat. Do request the special entree with your drink order so your daughter can dig in when y'all do.
We'll See You Real Soon, Michael!
