We are going to hoop de do with our 3 yr old on may 2nd for the 4pm show and are wondering about the campfires at the resorts after... Do you have to be staying at the resort or can you pay to participate? And which would be the best location?

    Hi Lori,

Going to Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue followed by an evening at Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A -Long sounds absolutely wonderful!  One of my family's favorite things to do at Disney's Fort Wilderness is to go to Chip 'N Dales Campfire Sing-A-Long, roast marshmallows, and take in a movie under the stars.

Walt Disney World campfires and movies under the stars are offered at many different resort locations.  According to this website, if your Walt Disney World resort does not have a campfire and movie under the stars, you are free to visit one that does.  These activities are free of charge, though you may need to pay a small fee for marshmallows and roasting sticks.

My favorite campfire is Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing Along.  This campfire offers the most entertainment with the sing along first.  The structure for the campfire and movie are really nice there, with log benches and stadium seating.  I also really enjoy the campfire at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, where there may be storytellers recounting African folk tales around the fire.  Finally, I really like the campfire and movie at Disney's Beach Club Resort as it is set up on the beach, which is a lovely setting on the sand overlooking the water.  Be sure to check with your resort or the resort that you plan to visit for the time of these campfires, as they change seasonally.

Have a great time at the campfires, Lori!  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
