    How do I hook up my magic bands that I bought at the trading post at FW? Our other ones were dead

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending your question our way! I absolutely love using MagicBands during my visits as I love picking designs of my favourite characters and movies. They make visiting the parks even more fun and colourful, and I love how convenient they are! As unfortunate as it is that they do expire, I love that I get to associate memories from my visit with the different designs. They make such special souvenirs!

    Now, let's link some MagicBands together! First, you will have to log into your My Disney Experience account. Then, if you are on your desktop, you will hover your cursor over the "My Disney Experience" tab and then click on "My MagicBands and Cards." If you are using the mobile app, you would instead click on the three lines at the bottom right of your screen, then on "My Profile" and "MagicBands and Cards." There, you will be able to click on "Link" on your desktop or "Link a MagicBand or Card" on the mobile app. And voilà, you are all set to start using your MagicBands right when you get to the parks!

    If you were to forget the PIN number for your MagicBand, you can also use the My Disney Experience mobile app to modify your PIN! You would simply log into your account and follow the same steps highlighted above, but instead of clicking on "Link a MagicBand or Card," you will click on "Reset PIN." It is important to note that this option is only available on the mobile app, so I highly recommend downloading the app on your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone if you haven't already! Also, if you are still experiencing issues with these steps, don't hesitate to reach out to a Cast Member by chat, email or phone or by going to a Guest Relations window at any of the parks. They will be able to link your MagicBand for you!
