Howdy Tamatha!
Welcome to planDisney. I see that you are just a few short days away from visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. I so love this time of year at Walt Disney World. The
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is happening, and it's one of my favorite festivals. As a matter of fact, having your MagicBand+ will allow you to interact with all of the fun Fab 50 statues, so let's get going so you can use your new magical device.
It looks like you have a new MagicBand+ and need a little assistance getting it connected. Well, happy to say I’m here with my magical keyboard to help you out. All it takes are 4 easy steps.
1. Power your band on by pressing the button on the back once, and tap the band to your phone.
2. You will be directed to open or download the
My Disney Experience app.
3. Follow the instructions in the app to link the MagicBand+ to your account, assign it to a Guest and pair it to your mobile device. Then, use the app to make sure your band is charged and the software is up to date.
4. Be sure to link your park tickets, reservations, and more.
Here is a link to the
Magic Band+ webpage for additional information on all of the magical things you can do and experience with it.
Now that you have everything connected, I would like to share a little-known feature of the MagicBand+. You can customize many of the effects and colors of your band using the My Disney Experience app. You can do this by tapping on the 3 bars (≡) at the bottom right-hand corner. Scroll down to MagicBands & Cards and choose the person associated with the band. Here, you can change the Light Up Theme for when you interact with park attractions. You can also adjust the brightness, vibrations, and other interactive features. It’s a neat way to make your experience even more magical.
Tamatha, I can’t wait for you to experience all the magical fun at the Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks with your new MagicBand+. Please stop by if you have any further questions; my fellow panelists and I will be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
