I will be honeymooning in WDW in March. We would like to stay somewhere that feels like a resort, is still Disney-themed, but also feels like a honeymoon. We are on a budget, but want to stay somewhere nice, too. Which resort do you suggest? Thank you!!!

Hello Darby!  From all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, I want to wish you a very heartfelt congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  Your Disney-moon will be here before you know it.

My favorite Walt Disney World Resort is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for the exact reasons you listed. It is an absolutely beautiful resort with lush plants and flowers everywhere.  You really feel like you've escaped to the Caribbean when you're there.  There are white sandy beaches and hammocks scattered around the resort for some relaxation.  My husband has been known to fall asleep in one on the way back to our room more times than I can count!  It's a moderate resort so it is budget friendly but still has wonderful amenities.  There is a really great zero entry pool area with two water slides and two hot tubs for enjoyment.  Sometimes by the pool area you can even roast marshmallows which I really love.  The rooms are quite large for a moderate priced room and are decorated in a soft Finding Nemo theme but it's not overpowering.  The rooms do have a small refrigerator inside, if you are trying to watch your budget I suggest bringing drinks to keep cool and take with you inside the parks.  We always do this and it saves us so much money.

I can't think of a better place at Walt Disney World to spend a honeymoon on a budget.  You'll be at Walt Disney World but feel like you've escaped the hustle and bustle of the parks to a Caribbean island with a Disney touch.  If you have any other questions while you plan your vacation, I'd love for you to come back and ask me.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
