Honeymooned at WDW in 1974. We are going back with son & family for 50th anniversary. With a DAS Pass for my wife can we up the number of people in our total group to 7 for rides, etc. Son recently adopted young girl and his family now has 5 people.

    Hi James,

Welcome to planDisney! My husband and I also honeymooned at the Walt Disney World® Resort and we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this April so I love to speak with guests who have a honeymoon experience!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) has been a much-needed service for my family. You are correct, it is intended for the guest who needs the service and, when we have used the service, the cast members have only allowed up to five additional guests. Those guests have been connected to the person with the DAS either during our pre-registration process or when we stopped by Guest Relations in the parks. I just called to verify, however, and the cast member also said that if the child is younger than three years old, they would not need to be added.

If your son's newest daughter is older than three and cannot be added during the pre-registration process, I suggest that you speak with a cast member in Guest Relations when you get to the parks to ask if she can be added to the DAS. Consider also that everyone does not have to experience every ride. When you make your DAS selections in the parks, you can select the individuals who will ride. If you have kids who are different ages and meet different height requirements for attractions, they all may not be able to experience the same attractions. Or, you may have some folks who love thrill rides and others who do not.

You could also purchase Disney Genie+ for some members or all of your party. We have used Disney Genie+ with DAS at Magic Kingdom and it was a fantastic experience. I will also encourage you to register for DAS online prior to arrival. During the registration process online, I have been able to make pre-selections for attractions - two per day that we have valid theme park admission.

I do hope you have something special planned for your anniversary! If you have not yet checked the Enchanting Extras Collection, take a few minutes to review the possibilities. I would suggest a Capture Your Moment Photo Session at Magic Kingdom. When my family did ours, we had so much fun. The session was quick, the photographer was excellent, and the price fit our budget.

James, my final suggestion would be to make a dinner reservation at 'Ohana. Select a time during the Happily Ever After fireworks. Since 'Ohana means family, this dining experience would be a perfect ending to a day in the parks for your family. Enjoy each other, cherish the time, and share the memories!

    Magic and memories,
