1/5-1/12/14, honeymoon trip and family trip- my mom, son(3) and sis(8) will join us. staying at AofA nemo themed room. we would like to spend 1-2 nights alone at more honeymoon appropriate resort. any suggestions, especially any nearby AofA? thanks!

    Hi Brooke,

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! The closest resort to Art of Animation is the adjacent Pop Century resort. My family loves Pop Century and stays there often, but I don't think of it as romantic.

I would lean to a moderate or deluxe resort for a honeymoon visit. My favorite moderate resort for an adult getaway is Port Orleans French Quarter. It's small, lovely and has an intimate, adult feel to it. It's probably a 10- minute drive from Art of Animation, so it's not too far away.

My other suggestion would be one of the deluxe Epcot area resorts: Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club. Those all are very luxurious and offer lots of adult entertainment options, such as the Atlantic Dance Hall, Jellyrolls and the ESPN Club. You also can walk from any of these resorts to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot, where it's easy to spend a romantic evening around the World Showcase.

My husband and I have spent a number of getaway weekends at the Yacht Club, too. The Boardwalk-area resorts also are a short drive from Art of Animation.

I hope those suggestions help. Please let me know if you need recommendations for special dining or other activities during your trip. Enjoy!
