Hi, This is our honeymoon and our first family holiday. Do I need to bring a stroller or are there ones to hire? Also where and when are the character meet times on the magic? Dept date 27th sept. 1 more when do we find out our boarding times?

    Cheerio Leah!

First of all, congratulations! What better way to celebrate your wedding than by combining your honeymoon and first family vacation together than a Disney Magic at Sea adventure! Since Disney Cruise Line is my favourite subject, you’ve come to the right place.

Disney Cruise Line provides a lot of amenities for babies and toddlers while onboard. While the website says that complimentary strollers are available, I have always traveled with my own because I found that I needed it sooner than I would have access to it on the ship. Not to mention that these supplies are on a first come, first served basis, so there is no guarantee that a stroller will be available. And I have found that it is an essential item to have when traveling with little ones. Check out the list of all the necessities available for wee ones that Captain Mickey has onboard.

Character appearances will look a bit different on your sailing, but all reports are telling me that if anything, the characters are even more visible onboard than ever before! You can see where and when these appearances will be using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Just be sure to prepare your kids that close-up encounters and autographs have been temporarily paused. I’ve always found that setting the expectation works better than surprising them.

You can start the Online Check-In process beginning 30 days prior to your sail date (and up until 24 hours before you set sail). This process includes filling out important cruise documents and choosing a Port Arrival Time. Since you‘re less than 30 days until your voyage starts, you can go do that today! Then you will know exactly what time to arrive at the port. When you actually will board the ship will be driven by how soon you complete the check-in process, so the earlier Port Arrival Time you have, the more likely you will be onboard faster!

Leah, I guess that means that you need to scoot so you can get that Online Check-In done! Since you have a few weeks until you set sail, please cruise back over if you have other questions. If I don’t hear from you before then, have a MAGICal voyage!

    Happy Sailing!
