I have homes in Alabama and Florida. Can I purchase Florida resident tickets for me, my wife and 2 grand children?

    Hi Tommy,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about Florida resident tickets at the Walt Disney World resort.

I've lived in Florida for decades and have been a Walt Disney World annual passholder for almost 30 years. One of the great benefits of living here, even part-time, is the ability to take advantage of special Walt Disney World discounts on tickets, passes and resort stays.

When you purchase specially priced Florida resident tickets, each person over the age of 18 in your party will have to show proof of residency to activate the tickets.

The best proof is a Florida drivers license, state ID or Florida-based military ID. If you have one of those, you can verify your residency and activate your tickets online -- and head straight for the entrance when you arrive at your first theme park.

If you don't have those because you don't live here full-time, there are some alternate means of verification. Those include such recent documents as mortgage statements, bank or investment account statements, utility bills, a homeowners insurance policy or automobile registration. You and your wife (and your grandchildren, if they are 18 or older) will need to present an alternate verification document(s) in person at a ticket window or Guest Relations location to activate your tickets before you enter a theme park for the first time.

Then you will be off to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World!

I hope that's clear, Tommy. Please let us know if you have other questions or need more information. We're always here to share our experiences as long-time Disney guests.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
