Welcome to
planDisney, Mary!
As a former Florida resident, I know how magical the
Walt Disney World Resort special offers for those who live in Mickey's backyard can be. The offers change throughout the year, and
some new ticket specials just launched this week!
Disney makes the process of
verifying your residency simple with a few different options. You mentioned that you do not have a valid Florida driver's license, but if you did, or have a valid Florida state-issued ID card with a Florida address, or a valid Florida-based military ID, residency verification can happen in a snap online. Just fill out the "Your Florida Resident Information" section at check-out when purchasing tickets directly through Disney
online, or via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
Don't fret!
Verifying your residency using other documents is also a breeze by visiting
Guest Relations at any Theme Park or at Disney Springs. There are many eligible documents, including, for example, a bank statement dated within the past two months with a Florida residential address (when presented with a corresponding picture ID - passport, driver's license, or state identification card). When using these types of documents to verify residency, it's important to note that your picture ID is simply used to verify your identity, not your Florida address.
Back when I lived just a short drive from
Walt Disney World Resort, I went through this process every year for my Annual Pass (there was no online option). For me, it was always a quick and easy process. If, however, you do have more questions about residency verification that aren't
answered here, I suggest that you call 407-939-5277 before your trip to ensure you bring the correct documentation with you when you return to Florida.
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing - I hope you can return to Florida and make some magical memories soon!
