We have been home for 1 day. We have stayed at the poly for about 20-25 years and want to try something new. The room must have a roll in shower, 3 Queen beds, sleep 6-7, 3 bathrooms, and be close to the monorail or sky liner. Thanks for your help.

Welcome back to planDisney, Mary Sandra! We're so glad you stopped by with your question. It sounds like you’re planning another magical adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort, how exciting! Traveling with a larger group can come with a few extra details to work out but with the right tools and a little planning, your experience can be smooth and filled with unforgettable moments. I’d love to help you navigate your options so your entire party is ready to enjoy the magic together from the very first Lightning Lane tap!

Since you’ve stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Resort for over two decades and are now looking for something new, yet still want the convenience of being close to the Monorail or Skyliner, there are a few great options that meet your needs, especially for a party of 6–7.

You might really enjoy the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, which opened in December 2024. The two bedroom penthouse style villas sleep up to eight and offer full kitchens, three full bathrooms, and beautiful views. They’re located right on the Monorail line, and while specific accessibility details for each unit may vary, Disney does offer roll in shower options upon request.

Another solid choice is a Hospitality Suite in the Garden Wing at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. These suites sleep up to seven, offer three bathrooms, a full kitchen, and ample space for a larger group. You’ll still have Monorail access and views of Bay Lake, plus easy walking access to Magic Kingdom.

If you’d prefer Skyliner access instead, consider the two bedroom villas at Disney’s Riviera Resort. These villas sleep up to nine and come with a king bed, two queen beds, and additional pull down beds. They include a full kitchen, living and dining areas, and two bathrooms. While they don’t have three bathrooms, they are very luxurious and modern, and you’d be right on the Skyliner route to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. As with other resorts, accessible rooms with roll in showers are available upon request.

You might also enjoy the two bedroom villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. These villas sleep up to nine and offer three full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and elegant Victorian theming. Being on the Monorail line, you’ll have quick access to Magic Kingdom, and Disney offers accessible units with roll in showers here as well.

For any of these options, it’s best to call Disney’s Reservations team to ensure you get an accessible room that specifically includes a roll in shower. They can also help confirm bedding configurations and ensure you have the space and layout you’re looking for.

It’s always exciting to try something new, especially after so many years of wonderful memories at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. With the variety of deluxe accommodations available, each offering unique theming, comfort, and accessibility, you’re sure to find a new favorite that meets your family’s needs while still keeping you close to the magic. Wherever you choose to stay next, I hope it brings you just as much joy, comfort, and Disney magic as your beloved home away from home.
