Home BLT-heard others 1 BR can sleep 5-which ones? What resorts can use sand bottom pool-only Beach Club? KITCHEN SINK-must have reservations-didn't' know in July so got to do mickey pants sundae. Even if just dessert must have reservation-or meal a must?

    Hi Denise,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions!

Some of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts at Walt Disney World can sleep 5 guests in a one-bedroom villa.  They are your home resort of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and most of Jambo House, and Disney's Old Key West Resort.

Stormalong Bay includes the sand-bottom pool area at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, as well as at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and is for the exclusive use of guests staying at these resort hotels.  It is not a part of pool hopping for Disney Vacation Club members.

The Kitchen Sink sundae at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort can be so much fun!  This giant sundae is fun to tackle with your whole party.  To the best of my knowledge, the Kitchen Sink is not available to go, so you do need to sit down in the restaurant to order it.  While you do not necessarily need a reservation for this, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is very popular, so reservations are highly recommended.  I have never had a problem ordering only dessert when I have a reservation at a Walt Disney World restaurant.  As you mention, the Mini Mickey's Sink sundae has been offered as an alternative to the Kitchen Sink sundae for those who do not sit down in the restaurant and instead take their ice cream to go.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Denise.  I want to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Kim for her thoughts on this answer.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
