We will be in Hollywood Studios on 11/29/16 and have a 5:35pm reservation for 50's Primetime Cafe. We also plan to attend MVMCP that night. I know they let you in early before 7pm but will we be missing much of the party by not arriving until later?

    Hi Wendy,

While I really enjoy 50's Prime Time Café, I'm not sure I would arrive at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party late.  In fact, that special event is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE for the year!  There is a lot going on, and I'm sure you'll want to do the meet and greets with the characters.  They are dressed in their holiday best, and the pictures are SOOO adorable.  Those lines are actually the longest.  My other thought is that you're paying for that party; you should enjoy every second of it.  If you arrive by 4:30 (which is when they'll let you in), you can ride several attractions before the party even begins!  It gives you extra time for everything else, including taking a break with free hot chocolate and cookies:)

I'd suggest that you try to make a dinner reservation inside Magic Kingdom, or somewhere in one of the resorts on the Monorail line.  That way, you'll still have a nice dinner and be able to get to the park a lot quicker.

I hope this helps, Wendy.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Wishing you a very merry and pixie dusted vacation!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
