Do you now if Hollywood Studios are planning to have Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party in July? Currently there are not times listed and I was wondering if this meant there will not be the star wars fireworks show.

Hi Megan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The love of the Force runs strong in my family and we love to soak up all of the Star Wars events and entertainment. When  Disney works on a show or fireworks spectacular, they make sure that the display is of epic proportion! Beginning on June 17, 2016 Disney’s Hollywood Studios is debuting an all new fireworks show called Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

As of right now there is in fact a dessert party however they are still calling it the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, which is the name of the current fireworks show, the one that will be replaced by the all new Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Although they are referring to this Dessert party by the name of the current fireworks display, it looks like there are dates offered for this party in June after the new fireworks display makes its debut. I do not see dates beyond June but my guess is that if there is enough interest, Disney will hopefully expand the dessert party (and rename it to reflect the upcoming show) through the rest of the summer. If you are interested in attending a dessert party I would advise you to keep checking back often and hopefully you will find offerings during your travel dates! I have done dessert parties in the past and I will say they offer a fantastic view of the show!

May the Force be with you!
