Bright suns, Annie! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.
Your visit to
Disney's Hollywood Studios is only a couple of weeks away. You must be getting so excited to live your very own Star Wars adventure at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! It would be my pleasure to help make sure you are Resistance ready.
Any time you have an early morning breakfast
reservation at a restaurant inside one of the
theme parks, you will be admitted into the park early enough to arrive for your reservation on time. However, with the
boarding group process taking place at Disney's Hollywood Studios each morning for guests hoping to access the new attraction,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, all guests have been able to enter the park ahead of the posted opening time.
My family and I just returned from a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort two weeks ago. Park opening procedures are subject to change at any time, but I would be happy to share my own experience with you to give you a better idea of what to expect when you arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney's Hollywood Studios opened at 8:00 a.m. on the days that we visited. We arrived at the park around 6:45 a.m. and were able to proceed through the security checkpoint right away. Guests who had already gone through security were able to line up at the park gates, and on both days that I visited Disney's Hollywood Studios, Cast Members began allowing guests to scan into the park around 7:00 a.m. Guests were able to enter the park and wait along Hollywood Boulevard until the park officially opened at 8:00 a.m. At exactly 8:00 a.m., guests could use their
My Disney Experience mobile app to attempt to join a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Annie, be sure to double-check the
park hours as the day of your visit gets closer because those hours could be adjusted at any time. As of right now, Disney's Hollywood Studios is listed as opening at 8:00 a.m. on March 19, so you will probably want to arrive at the park around the same time that I did. That should give you plenty of time to make it through the park gates to try for a boarding group and to arrive at your breakfast reservation on time.
May the Force be with you!
Samantha
