Hi Jillian,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I am beyond excited for you that the Walt Disney World Park Hours are working in your favor and you will be able to catch two fabulous nighttime shows in one night!
My advice is to catch the 9:00 p.m.
Fantasmic! and then the 10:00 p.m.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Fantasmic! runs about 30 minutes, and it will take some time to exit the theater, so be prepared that you may not get an ideal location for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Don’t let this deter you, as I have watched the show from many different spots around Disney’s Hollywood Studios and enjoyed it every time. Just head from the Fantasmic! Theater down Sunset Boulevard, and then turn onto Hollywood Boulevard and walk toward the central hub in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
I think the other order – 10:00 p.m. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular followed by 10:30 p.m. Fantasmic! – might be possible, but you would be rushing to the theater after the fireworks and could find that there are no more seats available. We missed Fantasmic! one night on our recent Spring Break trip because it was standing room only approximately 30 minutes before the show; you might want to ask a Cast Member when you’re in the park and see what his or her advice is based on crowds.
Jillian, I adore Disney’s Hollywood Studios at night. The gorgeous neon lights, shadowy palm trees, and cooler temperatures give it a really magical feeling. Enjoy every minute of both shows!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
