Bright Suns Stephanie!
Traveling to a galaxy far far away is made easy with the use of Rider Switch. I have yet to travel to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with my family, but I knew I we would be very soon, so I did ask the Gatherers at both attraction locations about Rider Switch. As of now,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is using boarding groups. As your landing date approaches you can also check the My Disney Experience Mobile App to verify if the use of
boarding groups is taking place. To use Rider Switch, there must be an adventurer under 40’’(102cm) or an adventurer who fears the journey. If that is the case, then the entire party must first join a boarding group. When your boarding group begins to board, you can then tell the Gatherer at the front of the attraction that you will need to use Rider Switch. They will then create the needed accommodations for those who will be embarking on their adventure first, and those who will journey upon the return of the first group or travelers.
When it comes to flying the old hunk of junk,
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, the use of Rider Switch is a little different. It is different in that joining a boarding group is not needed. This process is the familiar
Rider Switch process. For this ride; Pilots, Engineers, and Gunners must be at least 38” (97cm) or taller to ride. To board, speak to the Gatherer at the front of the attraction and let them know you will be partaking in Rider Switch. Once again, divide your party into two flight groups and wait for the landing of group one.
While you explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge I recommend fueling up on some galactic grub at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The food options and dining experience inside of this spacious hanger will only add to the adventure you are creating that day. They also offer
Mobile Ordering!
Safe travels and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel
