Hey there, Amy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. The time we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: The Muppets are taking over Sunset Boulevard! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is an all-time fave of mine, and a new one for my older son. Like you, he and I are ready to experience this reimagined adventure.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens for all to enjoy on May 26, 2026–that’s only a couple of weeks from now! By the time of your vacay, your limousine will be ready to speed you down the freeway. But will it be open during
After Hours at Hollywood Studios? Let’s take a closer look.
In the past, the Aerosmith rendition of the ride was open for After Hours guests. If the brand-new Muppets version follows suit, it should be open, too. Of course, rides sometimes close for temporary delays, but I think that there’s a great chance that you will be good to go. I recommend that you keep an eye on the
My Disney Experience app on May 30, which is the first After Hours event at Hollywood Studios after the official re-opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The attraction wait times will give us confirmation that the ride is, in fact, in the After Hours lineup.
AN EXTRA GEM: After Hours officially starts at 9:30 p.m., but with an event ticket, you can enter Hollywood Studios as early as 7 p.m. This means that even if the new Muppets attraction isn’t open for the event, you can squeeze in a ride or two during the two hours you have with the daytime guests.
Amy, I hope that you have an amazing time rockin’ out with the Electric Mayhem next month! Until then, if you have additional Disney vacation planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney!
Magic always,
LeAndra
