We’ll be at Hollywood Studios on February 16th 2021. The Park opens at 9:00am that day. I have a slot to build lightsabers at Savi’s at 9:05am. I read I have to check in 15 minutes early or we loose our spot. Can we do this if the park isn’t open yet?

Hi Kelly! Welcome back to planDisney!

It sounds like you have been busy planning the perfect day at Disney's Hollywood Studios! I'm thrilled to hear that you have decided to build your own lightsaber during your visit. Everyone I know that has experienced this covert operation can't stop talking about how incredible it was, and I know you'll feel the same!

Since Walt Disney World Resort's reopening last year, Disney's Hollywood Studios has typically let Guests enter the theme park early to keep crowds down outside of the entrance. Most likely, this will be your experience when you visit as well, and should have no issues arriving 15 minutes early for your reservation. If for any reason you arrive early and find that they are not letting Guests in before opening hours, let a nearby Cast Member know that you have a 9:05 AM reservation at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers at the Walt Disney World Resort, and ask if there is a designated entrance for you to enter early and make your way over to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. They'll be happy to direct you and make sure you arrive on time for your out-of-this-world experience!

I hope you have the BEST day, Kelly! Please let us know if you have any other questions. May the Force be with you!
