Is there much to do at Hollywood Studio's for children under 6? Obviously, Magic Kingdom is our park of choice, but wondering if we could spend the day at Hollywood Studio's and have it be age appropriate for our little one's (ages 6, 3 and 3). Thanks!

    Hi Marlena!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney Moms Panel.  I think Disney's Hollywood Studios definitely has a lot to offer to young children.  My seven year old son has always loved the park.  Attractions that young children love include:
    • Toy Story Midway Mania
    • Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage
    • Disney Junior - Live on Stage
    • Voyage of the Little Mermaid
    • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure

I also think most young children love Muppet Vision 3-D.  However, some young children just like playing with their glasses instead of watching the movie.  It's not scary or anything like that, but your 3 year olds might get bored.  If they know the Muppet characters, they will LOVE IT!

Your six year old will love Star Tours if he or she is a Star Wars fan.  He or she may also love Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show, but your 3 year olds will probably be bored with the car show.

Fantasmic is my favorite nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World and should not be missed, but some young children are afraid of the show.  It takes place in the dark and while it is not scary, there are some loud noises, especially from the few fireworks used in the show.  My own sons never had a problem, but I have seen other young children crying.  I really think it depends on the child.

Without a doubt, most young children absolutely love Disney Junior - Live on Stage and that single show makes the trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios worthwhile, especially if you have the Park Hopper option on your Magic Your Way tickets.  I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
