Hi there, Roger! Combining your first visit to the United States with a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, during the holiday season, sounds like an amazing memory in the making!
St. Nick and “St. Mick” won’t be ready to share dates and details about the 2024 holiday season for a few more months, however, we can certainly look to the past for some future guidance! Decorating Magic Kingdom Park for the Christmas season begins on the same night that the Halloween decorations come down! That usually takes place on either Halloween night or November 1. Holiday services then takes a few nights to turn Magic Kingdom Park into something of a winter wonderland! Based upon past practice and the 2024 calendar, my best guess is that the first
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will occur sometime around November 9, 2024. Again, this is speculation on my part based on the past several years. Official details, including dates and when ticket sales will begin, can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort website and the Disney Parks Blog once Santa and Mickey have finalized all the plans.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights during November and December. The event is held at Magic Kingdom Park. The party requires a special ticket. Last year, tickets went on sale at the end of June for Guests with existing resort hotel reservations and then in early July for the general public.
Not only do the theme parks look amazing, but the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection look festive as well! The resort hotels are usually decorated by mid-November at the latest! Additionally, I recommend taking a look at the Christmas Tree Stroll at
Disney Springs and the
Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. These are a few of my holiday favorites!
Roger, I’m including a video link with this answer! The video features yours truly and my fellow planDisney panelist, Elaine, as we provide “first timer” tips for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! I hope it is helpful with your planning! Come on back to planDisney soon!
Dreams do come true!
