We are going on holiday this year and staying in the grand floridian and also getting married in the wedding pavilion there are five of us two adults one nineteen yr old and twins at four any tips on the hotel for kids and meals? and any advice on wedding?

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

We renewed our vows in the Wedding Pavilion and it was more than we dreamed it to be. Looking at Cinderella’s Castle while exchanging your vows is a priceless experience.

The Fairy Tale Weddings Dept was exceptional. They took care of every detail. On your event day, your “magical helpers” will be wearing headsets to communicate so everything is timed perfectly. It’s modern-day magic at its best. So my only advice is to enjoy every minute of it as your fairy tale unfolds.

The Grand Floridian has monorail and boat access to the Magic Kingdom which makes touring that park very convenient. These modes of transportation will also be wonderful adventures for the 4-year old twins.

There are character meals for breakfast and lunch in the 1900 Park Fare restaurant. Mary Poppins hosts the breakfast and Cinderella greets guests for dinner.

Kid activities include a weekly lady bug release program. Fun programs at a current cost of $28.17 plus tax per child include Grand Adventures in Cooking and the Wonderland Tea Party. Kids must be 4 years of age to participate. You can call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) for more information. Kids also enjoy the Mouseketeer Club where they can have dinner, play games and watch movies while their parents go out for a quiet, romantic meal. The club is open 4:30 p.m. until midnight and costs $11/hour. Prices subject to change.

The kids will enjoy watching the fireworks from the boat dock or while seated near Gasparilla Grill. You must also view the Electrical Water Pageant for old-fashion fun.

Dining outside the Gasparilla Grill (especially for breakfast) and looking directly at the Castle is magical. The beach is a nice place for the kids to play in the sand and there are two pools for swimming. The Beach pool is zero entry which makes for fun wading for small children. It also has a waterfall and slide.

    Wonderful wedding wishes to you!
