Howdy, Kaylee! Welcome to planDisney! We’re so glad you stopped by with such a great question.
In my opinion, the food is the most important part of ANY vacation. But, of course, that goes double when talking about a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Walt Disney World is FAMOUS for its incredible dining options, with cuisine from all over the globe, or even 220 miles above it at the delicious Space 220 Restaurant. So, let's get down to business and talk about Advanced Dining Reservations!
Kaylee, you are correct that as a Guest of Holiday Inn Orlando, you’ll enjoy the 30-minute early theme park entry, along with Guests of the Disney Resorts Collection and other select Good Neighbor Hotels. Unfortunately, however, at this time, you would not have access to the benefit of booking Advanced Dining Reservations for the length of your stay at the 60-day mark before your check-in date. While I know this may not be the news you were hoping for, you can still get started booking your Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days in advance, but you would just need to log in each day to make your reservations for all of the following days of your visit.
Kaylee, making your Advanced Dining Reservations is as easy as can be using the My Disney Experience app. Reservations open up bright and early, at 6 a.m. Mickey Standard Time (aka EST), so grab that cup of coffee, and follow these simple steps to be on your way!
- Open the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device or tablet.
- Then, click the "+" on the bottom of the screen.
- Select "Check Dining Availability."
- Once there, you will set your party size, the date you are looking for, and the time of day you would like to dine.
- You can then browse through the available restaurants and times and follow the steps to complete your reservation.
Now, Kaylee, don't lose faith if you're not seeing the reservation you were hoping for! There is a $10 charge per Guest for any reservation cancellation done with less than 24 hours' notice, and since Guest's plans change all the time, you will likely see that many dining times pop up in the days and weeks leading up to your visit as cancellations come through. So, if you keep a close eye on your My Disney Experience app and check about 2-3 times per day, you just might find the reservation you were looking for! I use this method all the time and find it works exceptionally well in the few days before my arrival. As our pal Peter Pan once said, "All you need is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust!"
I just know you will have an absolute blast on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World. We planDisney foodies LOVE to talk about our favorite snacks and meals available throughout Walt Disney World, so visit again soon if you'd like to hear some of our recommendations!
Bon Appétit!
