Hi there, Nathalie!
Welcome to planDisney. Staying at a hotel the night before your Disney Cruise is a great idea, especially if coming from a different country. I personally make it a rule to fly in at least one day early for every cruise, just in case any unexpected travel hiccups pop up.
For Port Canaveral sailings, the
Disney Cruise Line website currently lists several convenient hotel options: the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, and the Disney Resorts Collection hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. Choosing one of these makes your pre-cruise experience wonderfully simple. You can book pre- and post-cruise hotels by
calling Disney Cruise Line directly, and they’ll walk you through the available options for your specific sailing.
My family stayed at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort before our last cruise, and it was the perfect way to ease into vacation mode with its tropical vibes and relaxing atmosphere. We also love
Pop Century when we want a value-friendly stay, and
Port Orleans - French Quarter when we’re in the mood for a moderate resort with lots of charm.
As you know, Guests who book their hotel stay with Disney Cruise can also request
transportation to the port for an additional fee at this time. I love letting Disney handle those logistics because it makes embarkation day so much smoother! Availability can be limited, so I recommend securing your hotel and transportation as soon as your plans are set.
Once you arrive in the United States, make sure to download the
Navigator app. It will become your best friend on the cruise! Almost everything that you need to know can be found on the app during your sailing, including rotational dining information, activity schedules, and onboard chat.
Nathalie, I hope your cruise is filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. If more questions come up along the way, I’d be delighted to help you again at planDisney.
Happy sailing!
Jen
