When are the Holiday decorations taken down? We are planning a trip for the beginning of next year but would rather still enjoy the Disney Christmas magic and are rates cheaper at after New Years?

    Hi!

This is a great question.  Most of the decorations don't come down right away in January; in fact, I have seen Christmas trees over the Martin Luther King Junior Holiday Weekend in Walt Disney World.  However, some of the special activities do stop running or being performed soon after the start of the new year.  Most things continue through the end of the first weekend after the new year, but that is not always the case.  If you want to guarantee that you see the special holiday events then you should definitely visit as close to the holidays as possible.

Enjoy planning your magical Disney vacation, and please write back with more questions!
