Hi there, Alison!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for bringing us your question. There’s something extra magical about visiting the Happiest Place on Earth when it’s also the merriest place! I love when the theme parks have holiday-themed decor, attractions, food and entertainment, which is why my family often decides to take a trip to the resort each winter.
Holiday decorations and other seasonal extras usually begin appearing around the resort the first week of November, with the exception of the
Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction overlay, which is often complete in September and remains through the holiday season until early January. In the recent past, the Christmas decor has been gradually added at night when the parks are closed and is complete before the middle of November. So, if you plan to visit the second weekend in November or later, you’ll likely be able to experience everything the Disneyland Resort has to offer
during the holiday season. Having said that, there have been no official announcements just yet about the holiday offerings and timeline for this year. For now, we can only make an educated guess based on the past, assuming this year will follow suit.
I hope this helps you plan, Alison.
Please keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more information as the holiday season approaches! In the meantime, feel free to write back to us with any other
Disneyland Resort questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
