When do holiday decorations at Disney go down in January is there a specific date

    Hi Shirleane,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I see you’re planning a trip for the New Year—what a magical way to kick off 2026!

You're in luck! The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will run from November 14, 2025, through January 7, 2026. The Festival of Holidays at California Adventure will take place during that same time. The holiday décor will still be up during your visit, and takedown will begin on January 8.

I haven’t personally visited the parks immediately after the holidays, so I am not sure if the holiday decorations are taken down all at once or removed gradually. However, you can expect that the holiday entertainment (such as the Christmas Fantasy Parade and the Believe… In Holiday Magic fireworks show) will conclude on January 7.

As for what’s next, we don’t yet know when Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary entertainment (like Paint the Night or Wondrous Journeys) will resume. Keep an eye on the Daily Schedule in the Disneyland app or on the website for updates on entertainment offerings during your trip.

If you’re a fan of holiday décor, head over to Disney+ and watch "Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic." It gives a behind-the-scenes look at how Cast Members transform the parks into a winter wonderland, often overnight! It’s truly magical and will get you even more excited for your visit.

I hope this info was helpful, Shirleane! I have tons of holiday recommendations, so feel free to come back with more questions. I’d be thrilled to help!

    Have a merry vacation!
