I have holding points. Can I use a waitlist to find bookings for the 60 day future window to use this holding points.

Welcome Home, Della! Thanks so much for coming back to see us again at planDisney. I will be happy to help your Disney Vacation Club dreams come true, so let's get down to business and chat about your Vacation Points

Sometimes the best-laid Disney plans change, but that doesn't mean your points go to waste! If a Member cancels or modifies a reservation between 1 and 30 days before the check-in date, the points used for the booking go into a Holding Account, and they will expire at the end of your current Use Year. They cannot be banked or borrowed. Holding points can be used for a new reservation, but the check-in date must be within 60 days.

I chatted with the always-helpful Kierra at Member Services to ask about whether you can use a Waitlist, and I'm pleased to report that you certainly can! As long as the reservation that you Waitlist is within 60 days of your arrival date, the points needed to book will be pulled from holding first. You may have up to 2 active Waitlists in a Use Year, and you can set the expiration at 31 or 7 days before your desired check-in date.

Della, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes. I'll be crossing my fingers that your Waitlist comes through so you can enjoy a well-deserved getaway this fall! Please come see us again at planDisney anytime if we can help with other questions about your DVC Membership, or if you're after some tips and tricks to maximize the magic on your vacation.

    Stay Magical,
    Susan
