Hi Shannon!
Welcome to
planDisney! I'm so happy to hEAR you are booking a Disney cruise. It's definitely an amazing way to explore various destinations. And one of the best parts is only having to unpack once! Not to mention the fabulous food, exceptional service,
Broadway-caliber shows, and special memory making moments with favorite Disney characters.
I can understand why you’d be more eager than ever to
set sail with Captain Mickey, but it is important that you get the exact itinerary and dates that work best for you. So sometimes the need arises when a cruise reservation you are holding has to be cancelled. Fortunately, yours is in the stage where you haven’t yet made a deposit. It’s very nice of you to want to cancel your current reservation if you have no intention of staying with that one. My understanding is that you would have to contact Disney Cruise Line via phone with your reservation number to cancel and that this cannot be done online.
Alternatively, since you are wanting to make a brand new reservation and didn’t put a deposit down on the current one you have, you could simply make your new reservation and the first one would cancel itself once no deposit is made. In this situation, you could go ahead NOW and make a brand new booking using the
Disney Cruise Line website; the previous reservation would be deleted once the timeframe for the deposit has passed.
You can check the status of all this by logging into your Disney Cruise Line account. It’s absolutely thrilling to see multiple cruises listed in your
Castaway Club account-I have two reservations right now, and I’m absolutely counting down the days until our adventures at sea!
Shannon, sending you all the pixie dust that you are able to get the MAGICal reservation you want and that you have a WONDERful Disney cruise!
Bon Voyage!
